In what's become a running theme this season, the Shady Side Academy Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ligonier Valley 82-31 on the road. Shady Side Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Ligonier Valley saw an underclassman step up: Marlee Miller scored 19 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. Lindsey Gaskey was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five assists and three steals.
Shady Side Academy pushed their record up to 18-2 with that win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.3 points. As for Ligonier Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.
Shady Side Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-38 win vs. Aquinas Academy on the 10th. Ligonier Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
