In what's become a running theme this season, the Colfax Falcons gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They claimed a resounding 56-21 win over Twelve Bridges on the road. The win was familiar territory for Colfax who now have 12 in a row.
Leading Colfax to victory were Juliette James and Jade Biittner. James scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Biittner scored eight points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Biittner also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Madalyn Sigrist was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.
Twelve Bridges' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Carpenter, who scored eight points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Twelve Bridges struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Colfax pushed their record up to 19-1 with that win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.82 points. As for Twelve Bridges, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colfax will challenge Wheatland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wheatland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 830th, while Colfax is ranked 56th). As for Twelve Bridges, they will head out on the road to challenge Sutter at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Sutter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday.
