Sutter is 0-6 against the Falcons since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Sutter Huskies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Colfax Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Monday, it was close, but Sutter sidestepped the Raging Rhinos for a 54-51 victory.
Torrence Harter was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on ten points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists. Harter is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Meagher, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Colfax strolled past the Bruins with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 61-42. Given Colfax's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Bruins are ranked 255th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sutter pushed their record up to 13-13 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Colfax, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-2 record this season.
Sutter took a serious blow against the Falcons in their previous matchup back in January, falling 75-36. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Colfax's Juliette James, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. Now that Sutter knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
