The Rockwood Rockets won the last time they faced the North Star Cougars, and things went their way on Monday too. Rockwood took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 60-30 win over North Star. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Rockwood has managed all season.
Despite the loss, North Star still got an impressive performance from Abby Barnick, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. That was a full 66.7% of North Star's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Rockwood and bumps their season record up to 10-7. As for North Star, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.
Rockwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Cambria Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Star, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Conemaugh Township at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
