Redlands Adventist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They lost  12-4 to the Mesa Grande Academy Cardinals. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting  back in April of 2024.
Redlands Adventist Academy got a good showing from  Ryan Powers, who   tossed three innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits. Powers has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Redlands Adventist Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Noah Gatling, who  scored a  run and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. With that strong performance,  Gatling is now averaging an impressive 1.2  stolen bases per game. Another  was  Drew Lauer, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Redlands Adventist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Mesa Grande Academy, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Redlands Adventist Academy will face off against Noli Indian at 3:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Mesa Grande Academy, they will take on Desert Chapel at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
