After a string of four wins, the Truckee Wolverines's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Spring Creek an easy 40-14 win. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Truckee has scored all season.
Becca Brown was Truckee's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Truckee's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Spring Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Truckee will head out on the road to face off against Elko at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Elko presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Truckee in their respective states (Elko is ranked 12th in Nevada, while Truckee is ranked 62nd in California). Spring Creek will be home for the holidays to greet Wooster at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
