The Saint Francis Lancers are taking a road trip to face off against the Marin Catholic Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Saint Francis is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Palma 14-5 last Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Lancers, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Saint Francis got a massive performance out of Bobby Hill, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Hill a new career-high. Sione Tulua was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Saint Francis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.4.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Marin Catholic faced off against Saint Mary's on Tuesday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 8-2 win. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Cooper Mitchell and Walker Untermann were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Mitchell tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Untermann pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. At the plate, Mitchell went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Untermann went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Luke Martin, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Carson Davis, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Saint Francis' record now sits at 15-4. As for Marin Catholic, their record is now 10-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Saint Francis has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Marin Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
