The Fleetwood Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 64-25 defeat at the hands of Brandywine Heights Area. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fleetwood in their matchups with the Bullets: they've now lost four in a row.
Addison Benner was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and six steals for Brandywine Heights Area. Benner hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Avery Potteiger was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Fleetwood dropped their record down to 2-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.0 points per game. As for Brandywine Heights Area, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-7.
Fleetwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Brandywine Heights Area will head out on the road to face off against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wyomissing is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
