The Crescenta Valley Falcons came tearing into Saturday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past San Dimas with a 49-43 victory.
Several Saints players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Janessa Rodriguez, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kamora Fletcher, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Crescenta Valley's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-6. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.1 points. As for San Dimas, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.
Crescenta Valley and the Bears will face off at 6:45 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Burroughs will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. San Dimas is on the road again on Wednesday and plays the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on January 24th. Diamond Ranch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 431st, while the Saints are ranked 153rd).
