Payson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cheznie Roundy led the charge by scoring 17 points. The matchup was Roundy's third in a row with at least ten points. Oaklie Jackman was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Payson and bumps their season record up to 6-7. As for Orem, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Payson will head out on the road to face off against Provo at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Orem, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Uintah at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Uintah is ranked 98th, while Orem is ranked 113th).
