Baseball Recap: Hamilton Has No Trouble Against Williams

Hamilton was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Williams on Tuesday. The Braves blew past the Yellowjackets 23-0. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Austin Studybaker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jacob Wyman was a standout: he scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Daniel Leal was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Hamilton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Hamilton's record now sits at 15-6. As for Williams, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Hamilton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Yellowjackets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
