The Sherwood Bowmen's's five-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They walked away with a 57-47 victory over Red Mountain.
Red Mountain's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gage Lindsey, who scored seven points along with six rebounds. Conor Doka was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Sherwood's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Red Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Sherwood and Mountainside will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Mountainside presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sherwood in Oregon (Mountainside is ranked 24th, while Sherwood is ranked 134th). Red Mountain won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Highland Prep at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th. Highland Prep is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
