The Pontotoc Warriors will square off against the New Hope Trojans at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Having struggled with three  defeats in a row, Pontotoc  turned things around against Caledonia  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   26-13  win over the Cavaliers.
 A big part of Pontotoc's  victory came down to the chemistry between  Courtland Pass and his top target  Austin Bean. Pass threw for 130 yards and one  TD on only ten passes while  Bean rushed for 59 yards and one  score.
 Meanwhile, New Hope won against Lafayette  last Friday with 42  points and they decided to stick to that  point total again  on Thursday. The Trojans blew past Columbus 42-13. Considering the Trojans have won three games by more than 28  points this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Pontotoc now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for New Hope, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
 Pontotoc couldn't quite get it done against New Hope in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024 as they fell  42-35. Can the Warriors avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
