The Lathrop Spartans entered their tilt with the Linden Lions with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Lathrop really took it to Linden for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-24 victory on the road. The result was nothing new for Lathrop, who have now won three matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
Lathrop's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shakara Porter, who scored 12 points. Porter continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marianna Delgado, who scored 10 points.
Lathrop's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Linden, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Lathrop will be playing at home against Kimball at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kimball will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while Lathrop is ranked 199th). Linden will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Summerville at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
