Oswayo Valley is 1-9 against Otto-Eldred since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Oswayo Valley Green Wave will head out on the road to square off against the Otto-Eldred Terrors at 7:00 p.m. Oswayo Valley will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Oswayo Valley put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Galeton, posting a 43-15 win on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Oswayo Valley has posted since December 5, 2023.
Meanwhile, Otto-Eldred didn't have too much trouble with Northern Potter on the road on Wednesday as they won 41-27.
Otto-Eldred's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayla Van Scoter, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and four steals. Van Scoter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Kate Rhinehart was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Oswayo Valley's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. As for Otto-Eldred, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Oswayo Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Otto-Eldred when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 37-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oswayo Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
