Turkeyfoot Valley Area was dealt a 51-19 defeat at the hands of Blacklick Valley. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Turkeyfoot Valley Area in their matchups with Blacklick Valley: they've now lost eight in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jayna Nieves, who scored four points along with five rebounds. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Turkeyfoot Valley Area struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Mapletown's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by California 58-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mapletown has scored all season.
Turkeyfoot Valley Area's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Mapletown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Turkeyfoot Valley Area couldn't quite finish off Mapletown in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 and fell 48-45.
