The Pleasant Grove Eagles can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They blew past Sheldon 55-33. The victory was just what Pleasant Grove needed coming off of a 46-16 loss in their prior contest.
Pleasant Grove found their leader in underclassman Kate Myers, who shot 5-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. Neama Othman was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Pleasant Grove's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Sheldon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pleasant Grove will take on St. Francis at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Francis has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Sheldon, they will be playing at home against Cosumnes Oaks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Cosumnes Oaks is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.4 points per game.
