La Costa Canyon extended their winning streak to five on Thursday, bumping them up to 5-0. Everything went their way against the Murrieta Mesa Rams as they made off with a 45-24 win. The result was nothing new for the Mavericks, who have now won four contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead La Costa Canyon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Quinn Roth, who threw for 344 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per attempt. Those 344 passing yards gave Roth a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Coby Herman, who gained 196 total yards and two touchdowns.

The Grizzlies' defense has only allowed ten points per game this season, so the Mavericks' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Murrieta Mesa, they will challenge Temecula Valley at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The matchup will give the Rams their first taste of in-conference action this season.
