The Vidalia Indians will be home for the holidays to greet the Pierce County Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Vidalia ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Toombs County out 53-51. The win made it back-to-back wins for Vidalia.
Vidalia's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cristal Franklin led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 18 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mischa Wardlaw, who scored 20 points.
Meanwhile, Pierce County scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Bacon County by a score of 49-40. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Pierce County has managed all season.
Vidalia is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Pierce County, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
