The Arroyo Grande Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Lompoc Braves at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Arroyo Grande took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over San Luis Obispo. The Eagles not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 4th (when they won 11-1).

Grady Pope tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Ruben Servin was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Beau Sweeney, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
Arroyo Grande was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Lompoc came into Friday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 6-1 win over Righetti on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Jack Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up ten Ks. Lompoc is 10-1 when Jones allows one or fewer earned runs, but 2-9 otherwise.
At the plate, Lompoc saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kasch Kubasiewicz, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Arroyo Grande's record is now 11-14-1. As for Lompoc, their record now sits at 12-10.
Arroyo Grande came out on top in a nail-biter against Lompoc in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
