The Van Nuys Wolves will head out on the road to square off against the San Fernando Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Van Nuys will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Van Nuys stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Panorama 53-14 on the road. Given Van Nuys' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Panorama is ranked 1164th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, San Fernando unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 44-33 to Kennedy.
Van Nuys pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for San Fernando, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
Van Nuys didn't have too much breathing room in their game against San Fernando when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 67-61 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Van Nuys since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
