Legend has won five straight games at home, while Ponderosa has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Titans will host the Mustangs at 3:00 p.m. One thing working in Legend's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last eight games.
On Friday, Legend got the win against Mountain Vista by a conclusive 15-3. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by eight runs or more this season.
Maddie Kessel was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Legend got a massive performance out of Reese Bryant, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Bryant a new career-high. Lucy Thompson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles.
Legend always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountain Vista only posted an OBP of .188.
Chaparral hit Ponderosa with a five-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 8-6.
Joey Qualteri spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on 11 hits.
On the hitting side, Abby Dietz made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Campbell Trombley, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Ponderosa's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Legend, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.
Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Legend has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .501. However, it's not like Ponderosa struggles in that department as they've averaged .450. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Legend's way against Ponderosa in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Legend made off with an 8-0 victory. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
