Baseball Recap: Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy Takes a Loss

Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 14-6 to the Rabun County Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Rabun County this season, with their most recent defeat being a 9-8 loss on Friday.

Colt Clark and Mason Odom stepped up to the plate in a big way. Clark scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Odom scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Clark has become a key player for Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-11 otherwise.

Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Rabun County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy will head out to take on Providence Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Christian Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rabun County, they will square off against Elbert County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rabun County's pitchers better be ready for this one: Elbert County has averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
