Holdingford added to the longest winning streak in Central Minnesota this week by beating Kimball, 48-12. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa and Maple Lake played the closest game in the league this week, with Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa eventually emerging with a 20-19 victory. Austin Kollman ran for 134 yards in the win.
Brock Deering threw for 255 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 8-18 with 0 interceptions.
Brian Goodwin made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Jaguars bested the Irish. He pulled down 1 interception.
Kollman was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 134 yards on 30 carries as Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa lost to Pierz. Tommy Cebulla also contributed to the rushing game with 48 yards on the ground.
Leading Central Minnesota in both passing and receiving yards, the Rockets' Deering and Brendon Schumacher have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-5 quarterback Deering has thrown for 1,226 yards this season, while Schumacher has 18 catches for 405 yards. Kollman from Chris Moscho's team leads the league in rushing with 1,044 yards.
The Jaguars are currently in second, while the Pioneers are in third.
Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,503 from 7,979. The improvement was largely due to a 27-7 victory over Eden Valley-Watkins last week.
