Baseball Recap: Castle Park's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Castle Park's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the High Tech Mesa Thunder 14-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their 13-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Xavier Melendrez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Castle Park: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-19 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Aldo Leon, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
