After a string of three wins, the West Point-Beemer Cadets's good fortune finally ran out  on Saturday. They fell just short of North Bend Central by a score of  50-48. The  match was a  26-26 toss-up at halftime, but West Point-Beemer couldn't quite close it out.
 Despite the  loss, West Point-Beemer saw an underclassman step up:  Hunter Swanson  scored 12 points along with five  rebounds and three  steals.  Peyton Penrose was another key contributor,  scoring nine points along with two  steals.
 West Point-Beemer's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for North Bend Central, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 12 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Point-Beemer is on the road again  on Tuesday and plays the Dragons at 7:00  p.m.  on February 6th. As for North Bend Central, they will  face off against the Eagles at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday. Hopefully Arlington focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 16 last Friday.
