Basketball Game Preview: Renaissance Academy Knights vs. Delaware County Christian Knights

Having just played yesterday, the Renaissance Academy Knights will get right back to it and host the Delaware County Christian Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Renaissance Academy is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Bristol: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Renaissance Academy blew Bristol out of the water with a 49-13 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Knights had established a 33 point advantage.

Aniyah Jones had an outrageously good game as she went 7 of 10 en route to 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Brilan Biesecker, who posted 11 points.

Renaissance Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Delaware County Christian put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 49-21 victory over Atlantic Christian. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 24 points or more this season.

Delaware County Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.3 points. As for Renaissance Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Renaissance Academy beat Delaware County Christian 47-35 when the teams last played back in February. Does Renaissance Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Delaware County Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
