Basketball Recap: Community School of Davidson Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

Community School of Davidson won the last time they faced Mountain Island Charter, and Regan Downey did her part to make sure it happened again. The Community School of Davidson Spartans really took it to the Mountain Island Charter Raptors for the full four quarters, racking up a 50-20 win thanks in part to Downey, who posted 21 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 17 or more in the last 13 games she's played.

Lucia-Grace Soares was another key player, putting up six points along with eight steals and six boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds.

Community School of Davidson has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game.
