Archimedean is 0-7 against Marathon since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. Archimedean will be home for the holidays to greet the Marathon Dolphins at 4:00 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Archimedean and five for Marathon.
Archimedean pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 64-55 to Pinecrest Glades Academy.
Meanwhile, Marathon suffered a tough 76-50 defeat at the hands of Coral Park on Saturday.
Despite the loss, Marathon got a solid performance out of YANIEL GARCIA, who scored 23 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that GARCIA scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of DAESHAWN HOLMES, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four blocks.
Archimedean's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Marathon, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-7.
Things could have been worse for Archimedean, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 39-23 loss to Marathon in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Archimedean avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
