Elsinore came out on top against Temescal Canyon on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Tigers took their contest against the Titans 7-3.
Like West Valley, Elsinore also got a great game from a two-way player: Andrew Jimenez. He pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Back at the plate, Bryson Boyd was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Elsinore pushed their record up to 16-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for West Valley, their record is now 14-11.
West Valley couldn't quite get it done against Elsinore in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 8-4. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
