The Scripps Ranch Falcons will take on the Bayfront Charter Sharks in a holiday battle at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at. Scripps Ranch knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Bayfront Charter likes a good challenge.
Last Monday, Scripps Ranch didn't have too much trouble with La Costa Canyon on the road as they won 70-51.
Scripps Ranch got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Daniela Sexenian out in front who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Michelle Kramer, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bayfront Charter narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Madison 38-35. The team accrued 29 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Scripps Ranch now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Bayfront Charter, their win bumped their record up to 6-4-1.
