Sierra Canyon won the first set of the title match 25-21 but Marymount caught fire in the second and snowballed to 25-15 and 25-12 wins and a second event title for the Los Angeles school. The two league rivals meet again Sept. 29 and Oct. 7. Further installments could materialize in the postseason.
Mater Dei and Marymount also might get a chance to reprise their semifinal match in this week's Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix, Ariz.
Marist would fall in three sets to Mater Dei and two to Redondo Union, finishing tied for seventh overall with No. 10
