The Mira Loma Matadors's game last Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against Casa Roble by a score of 35-27. That's another feather in the cap for Mira Loma, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Allison Canafe continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Demi Tawadrous, who scored two points along with six steals.
Despite the defeat, Casa Roble saw an underclassman step up: Lydia Chechourka-Price scored 15 points.
Mira Loma's win bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Casa Roble, their defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-23.
Mira Loma will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Casa Roble, they will head out on the road to square off against the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
