After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Liberty, the Freedom Falcons were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Pittsburg by a score of 46-38. That's another feather in the cap for Freedom, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Freedom got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aleah Diaz out in front who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Diaz has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ariel De La O, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds and six steals.
Pittsburg lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jenna Miller, who scored 11 points. Ali Tuotolo was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with two steals.
Freedom's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9. As for Pittsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freedom won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Dublin at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th. Dublin is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Pittsburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
