After completing two first-quarter touchdown bombs to take a 14-7 lead, Hipa was harassed the rest of the evening. Hamilton got three sacks each from
Russell Davis II and
Chandler Davis to help the Huskies also snap a nine-game losing streak to the Wolves. Among those losses was a bitter 23-21 loss in last season's state Open Division championship when Hamilton missed a 27-yard field goal in the final seconds.
The two teams will be seeded first and second heading into next week's Open Division playoffs.
With the game knotted at 14 in the fourth quarter, Hamitlon quarterback
Nicco Marchiol tossed a 7-yard touchdown pass to
Tré Spivey with 7:45 left that proved to be the difference. The score was set up by a Chandler Davis sack and forced fumble that was recovered by
Dawson Hubbard. After the turnover, Marchiol immediately cashed in with a quick out to Spivey, who made a tough catch in the corner under heavy duress.

Hamilton running back Logan Krei rushed for a 15-yard touchdown in the first half of the Huskies' 21-14 win over Chandler.

Chandler's Hipa drove the Wolves inside the Hamilton 40, but two more sacks, the ninth and 10th of the game, gave the ball back to the Huskies who were able to run out the clock.
Hamilton piled up more than 150 yards rushing, behind
Logan Krei (10 carries, 98 yards, one touchdown), while holding Chandler to minus-52 yards on the ground as almost 100 yards were lost on the 10 sacks. By halftime, Hipa had already been sacked four times and Chandler had
minus-6 yards of rushing. But two big plays kept the Wolves tied.
Chandler struck first on a 56-yard pass from Blaine Hipa to Ohio State-bound
Kyion Grayes making it 7-0 four minutes in, but Marchiol answered on a 5-yard TD pass to
Christian Anaya to knot the game at seven near the end of the first quarter.
Chandler took the 14-7 lead as Hipa hit
Quaron Adams with a 50-yard touchdown, before Krei set up his own 15-yard, game-tying touchdown with 5:16 left in the first half.

Chandler quarterback Blaine Hipa threw for two long touchdowns in the first half as the Wolves saw their 45-game win streak snapped in a 21-14 loss to Hamilton.
