The Leuzinger Olympians stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Beverly Hills 70-12 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Leuzinger who now have eight in a row.
Leuzinger had a senior duo take command as Dresha Moore dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds and Madison Watts scored 25 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Moore is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Andrea Lopez was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists and two steals.
Leuzinger pushed their record up to 23-4 with that win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.1 points per game. As for Beverly Hills, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-10.
Leuzinger will head out on the road to challenge the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hawthorne comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last nine games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Beverly Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Apaches at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Centennial will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1015th, while the Normans are ranked 459th).
