Given Live Oak's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 424th, while Cupertino is ranked 1015th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Isabelle Cline continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Maya Rafat was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Live Oak's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Cupertino, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Live Oak will square off against Greenfield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cupertino will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Westmont at 3:00 p.m. on December 16th.
