Baseball Recap: Moreau Catholic Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Moreau Catholic waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Salesian College Preparatory Pride a 15-0 shutout. The Mariners not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 7th.

The team relied heavily on Isaiah Broadus, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Peyton Leytam was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.

Moreau Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Moreau Catholic's record now sits at 6-7. As for Salesian College Preparatory, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-14.
