The West Mecklenburg Hawks posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Garinger 67-35 at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Mecklenburg also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Leading West Mecklenburg to victory were Isaiah Morrison-crawford and Chase Mcdonald. Morrison-crawford scored 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds, while Mcdonald scored 21 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Mcdonald scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Higgins, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and four steals.
West Mecklenburg's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Garinger, their loss was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Mecklenburg will take on Harding University at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Garinger, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Rocky River at 7:30 p.m.
