Video: Cocoa at No. 1 Bishop Gorman
Photographer Jann Hendry was on the ground for MaxPreps in Las Vegas.Cocoa (Fla.) was oh so close to having a fighting chance to take down the No. 1 team in the nation. Just one play was in the way of the Tigers heading into the halftime break down 12-10 to
Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas).
That one play turned out to be a 42-yard Hail Mary touchdown throw from
Tate Martell to
Brevin Jordan, and then the second half belonged to the home team, as Gorman took the victory by a 46-10 score.
Funny how opponents of teams like the Gaels seem to be doing fine and then the next thing they know, it's a blowout.
See the Live Scoring game logMartell scurried for a 28-yard touchdown on the ground with 7:55 left in the third quarter to start the second-half onslaught and about two minutes later, he connected with
Jimmy Telles from 52 yards out to make it 33-10. Later in the quarter Martell tacked on a 12-yard scoring pass to
Jalen Nailor. Nailor also caught a long touchdown from Martell to start off the scoring.
