The Parkview Baptist Eagles will head out on the road to  square off against  the Assumption Mustangs  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Parkview Baptist barely beat St. Michael the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by  a  9-2 margin over the Warriors on Thursday. The  win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won five  contests in a row.
 Jalayah Slaughter was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with two  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Lily Hammonds was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Jolie Gawlik, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 Parkview Baptist was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .455. They are  a perfect 9-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Assumption, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Monday. Everything went their way against Central Lafourche on Wednesday as they made off with  a  12-1 victory. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive  win against them.
 Parkview Baptist's record is now 18-11. As for Assumption, their record now sits at 23-5.
 Parkview Baptist suffered a grim  10-0 defeat to Assumption  when the teams last played  back in April of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
