Adelanto is 0-10 against Silverado since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Adelanto Saints will be playing in front of their home fans against the Silverado Hawks at 5:30 p.m. Adelanto has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Adelanto scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Granite Hills 75-35 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 51-19.
In what's become a running theme this season, Silverado gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They really took it to Granite Hills for the full four quarters, racking up a 81-25 victory at home. Given Silverado's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Granite Hills is ranked 1154th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Elizabeth Udeze, who scored 33 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Silverado's points. Belinda Rincon was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Adelanto is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Silverado, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6.
Adelanto suffered a grim 69-44 defeat to Silverado in their previous matchup on January 9th. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Udeze, who scored 30 points.
