Providence Academy extended the longest winning streak in Tri-Metro - West this week by beating Rockford, 34-28. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
DeLaSalle and Benilde-St. Margaret's played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with DeLaSalle eventually emerging with a 26-24 victory.
St. Paul Academy-Summit/Mounds Park Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Spartans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Michael O'Shea has thrown for 488 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Nick Hoffmann has 17 catches for 216 yards. David Ristau leads the league in rushing with 279 yards.
The Islanders made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,710 from 1,890. The advance stemmed from a 26-24 victory over the Red Knights last week.
