Max S. Hayes has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Washington Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Max S. Hayes will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 786th, while Washington is ranked 60th).
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Max S. Hayes, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-43 loss to Garrett Morgan.
Meanwhile, Washington pushed their score all the way to 66 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Alliance by a score of 69-66. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Washington has suffered yet this season.
Washington's loss came about despite a quality game from Chris Knight, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Knight hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Manson, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Even though they lost, Washington smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Max S. Hayes' record is now 2-7. Washington's record now sits at 9-3.
