The Del Mar Dons will head out on the road to take on the Westmont Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Del Mar is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
Last Thursday, Del Mar didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Hill, but they still walked away with a 50-45 win. 50 seems to be a good number for Del Mar as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Del Mar relied on the efforts of Arseama Kibrom, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds, and Moana Tulua, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Tulua hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Gabi Lopez-fifield, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds.
Westmont posted their closest win yet this season on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Independence out 33-30.
Del Mar's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7. As for Westmont, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10.
Del Mar came up short against Westmont in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 49-36. Can Del Mar avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
