Baseball Recap: Thursday's Win Is San Marino's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

San Marino had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Temple City on Thursday. The Titans blew past the Rams 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Tom?s Bilvado made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Miles Morning was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Parker Wilson, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

San Marino was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

San Marino has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Temple City, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-15-1.
