The Blackstone Valley Prep PRIDE will face off against the Juanita Sanchez Complex Cavaliers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Blackstone Valley Prep is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Times Squared Academy on Wednesday as they made off with a 13-2 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the PRIDE considering their two-run performance the match before.

Alex Torres made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, four runs, and one double. He has become a key player for Blackstone Valley Prep: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4 otherwise.
In other batting news, Blackstone Valley Prep got a massive performance out of Adrian Fernandez Jimenez, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Cameron Beaudreau, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs.
Blackstone Valley Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Juanita Sanchez Complex posted their closest win since May 17, 2024 on Monday. They skirted past Tiverton 7-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cavaliers.
The team relied heavily on Isaiah Bento-Vasquez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.
Juanita Sanchez Complex pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Blackstone Valley Prep, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Blackstone Valley Prep has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Juanita Sanchez Complex struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Blackstone Valley Prep might still be hurting after the 16-3 defeat they got from Juanita Sanchez Complex when the teams last played two weeks ago. Will the PRIDE have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
