Papillion-LaVista won the last time they faced Millard South and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Monarchs blew past the Patriots 9-1. The Monarchs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Alexa Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maizey Carpenter, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

The win was the third in a row for Papillion-LaVista, bringing their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Millard South, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Papillion-LaVista will take on Blue Springs South at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Millard South, they will challenge Omaha Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 10.5 runs per game this season.
