The Otto-Eldred Terrors will head out on the road to challenge the North Clarion Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Otto-Eldred is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
Last Tuesday, Otto-Eldred was able to grind out a solid win over the Panthers, taking the game 49-37.
Otto-Eldred's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rayel Hakes led the charge by scoring 16 points. It was the first time this season that Hakes scored 15 or more points. Addie Bell was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
North Clarion has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 62-55 to Punxsutawney on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, North Clarion can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Chucks are ranked 61st).
Otto-Eldred is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for North Clarion, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
Otto-Eldred was able to grind out a solid win over the Wolves in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 63-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Otto-Eldred since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
