The Roseland University Prep Knights  entered their tilt with the Piner Prospectors with two consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with three. Roseland University Prep managed a  45-39 victory over Piner  on Thursday. For Roseland University Prep, this counts as revenge for the   55-29 defeat Piner walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in November of 2021.
 When it comes to explaining why Piner lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Betzie  Hernandez . Despite the final result, she  scored 19 points. Hernandez  scored a full 48.7% of Piner's points, the third time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Vanessa  Cruz Hernandez, who  scored 9 points along with 7  rebounds.
 Roseland University Prep's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Piner, they have  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost four of their last five matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
 Roseland University Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Elsie Allen at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Piner, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Vincent de Paul at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
